Astronomicon the comic/horror con making waves in Metro Detroit

This past weekend Astronomicon invaded the Wyndham Garden in Sterling Heights, Michigan for its third year in a row. Bringing with them a star-studded list of celebrity guests such as Kevin Eastman (co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtlers), Brian O'Halloran who plays Dante in Kevin Smith's Clerks films. And Astro even was able to make what some thought impossible and Brian was joined by his co-star of the Clerks films Jeff Anderson who played Randall. This was Anderson's first-ever con appearance, so you can kinda say it was a big deal for fans. Michigan Native Ming Chen (AMC's comicbook men) was also there signing autographs and talking to fans all weekend. And on Sunday they were even able to land the amazing WWE talent of Alexa Bliss. Who was seen also checking out the vendors on the con floor and even made a purchase by one of my favorite vendors "Gramps with Lamps" Major props go out to Miss Bliss for staying well-grounded even if she is one of the biggest female Talents in the WWE today.

With a great selection of vendors from all over Michigan you were sure to find something, you had been looking for to add to your collection. Everything From Action Figures, To quality horror movie mask to basically everything in between. You could even stop by and meet some of the local Ghostbusters from Ghostbusters Detroit, and Swing of over to the League of Enchantment booth to meet some of your favorite superheroes. And while you're at you could stop by and pledge your honor to the Mandalorians of the 501st Star Wars group, cause ya know... "this is the way".

There were sites for pretty much everyone at Astronomicon. Though it was overly hard to stop and look down the aisle of vendors where there is a will there is a way. And of course in good fashion to end the weekend out Twisted did a live stream on the Astro YouTube announcing the Dates and location for next years Astronomicon 4. They will be returning another year to the Wyndham Garden on Feburay 12th-14th.

If you haven't had a chance to check out Astronomicon for yourself I'd suggest marking it on your Calendars for next year. It has a very nice touch to an already landmark cultural event.

Follow Astronomicon on Facebook so you can keep up to date with next year's events and guests.
