Evil Dead and Spider-man Director Sam Raimi Reportedly in talks with Marvel to Direct Doctor Strange

Evil Dead and Spider-man Director Sam Raimi reportedly in talks with Marvel to direct Doctor Strange

It was reported back in early January that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness had lost its director on the reasoning of creative differences. But as of late last night, it was reported by Vanity that Sam Raimi is in talks with Marvel about sitting in the director's chair for Doctor Strange 2. When asked if there was any truth to this marvel at the time had no comment on the breaking news.

Anyone that knows Raimi's rap sheet of movies can see that this would be a wonderful fit for what has been said a kind of a horror movie feel for Doctor Strange 2. With Raimi being one of the masterminds behind beloved cult favorite "Evil Dead" starring Bruce Campbell. He is also no stranger to the comic book movie scene as well having directed the Tobey Mcguire trilogy of Spider-man. We know we know but "Spider-man 3 was trash" we personally do not blame Mr.Raimi for that. Personally I am hoping that he gets the spot and that he takes it and am excited to see what is in store.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to begin filming in May of 2020 and is slated for release in May of 2021.
